Ixaris ranked among the fastest growing technology companies in Britain

Ixaris, one of the UK’s leading innovative payments companies, has been ranked 22nd in the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100, the highest rating for a payments technology company in this year’s list. Tech Track ranks Britain’s one hundred privately-owned technology, media and telecoms (TMT) companies with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years.

Led by CEO Alex Mifsud, Ixaris specialises in developing innovative global payments solutions. Ixaris’ technology helps organisations in the travel sector to transform their payment processes into opportunities for generating revenues, increasing margins and improving cashflow. Travel companies facing increased booking fees from airlines, cashflow issues due to delays in the payment of commission or difficulties with operating under the recent card scheme compliance changes all stand to benefit from Ixaris’ virtual payment card solutions.

Ixaris secured its position in the rankings through impressive sales growth: sales soared 87 per cent a year from £1.3m in 2007 to £8.5m in 2010, as customers discovered the bottom line benefits of streamlining the payments process.

CEO of Ixaris, Alex Mifsud says, “We are very pleased to have made it into the Tech Track 100 this year and it’s a real credit to the hard work of the whole team. Innovation in payments is really taking off and in a time of tight budgets the need for better, faster, cheaper payments in the travel sector is growing. We see this as a very dynamic space and during the rest of 2011 Ixaris will continue to launch innovative payment services of particular relevance to the travel sector, which should deliver growth well into the future.”
