iStats app for iPad© shows latest trends in travel behavior

A snapshot view of $4 billion in travel spend helps companies instantly view trends to decide if they are getting the best deal for their travel spend.  Now available for the iPad, iStats is the scaled version of the Travel GPA Report Card Industry Stats providing benchmarked spend analysis for airlines, car rentals and hotels, and is available as a free download in the Apple© iTunes App Store.

Re-engineered with an entirely new interface for the iPad, the iStats app provides access to the most popular business travel metrics including average ticket price, average car and hotel rates, top 50 suppliers used, top 50 car and hotel vendors, and top city pairs flown. Viewable in both graphical and table views, iStats provides advanced peer-to-peer benchmark comparisons for pinpoint analysis by industry sector and overall travel spend. The database currently contains travel results from more than 40,000 companies.

“Identifying trends in business travel is key to anyone assigned the task of managing travel spend such as finance, purchasing or budgeting managers,” said Rock Blanco, president of Travel GPA.  “Executives want to know why their airline prices are higher when the industry is telling them that they should be down.  iStats can help a business gauge how their rates are performing against their peers with the single touch of a button on their iPad.  It’s quick, easy, and available anytime.”

Users can visit the Apple iTunes App Store and search the “Travel” category or by using keywords such as “Travel Stats” or “Travel GPA.”  The iStats app is free and is currently only available for download within the United States.  Travel GPA has an expanded version in development that will be available for download worldwide.

Travel GPA also markets a subscription version of the product which provides automated scorecards for over 90 key travel metrics giving real-time assessments on the performance of a company’s travel program when measured against the Best Practice standards of the companies in the Travel GPA benchmark database.
