International SPA Association names public relations manager

Headquartered in Lexington, the International SPA Association (ISPA) has named Allie Hembree as their public relations manager. Hembree will work with global media outlets as she promotes the visions and messages of the spa industry.

“Allie’s professional experience and get-it-done attitude are a natural fit for ISPA,” said ISPA President Lynne McNees. “We are excited about the possibilities.”

Hembree joins ISPA with a bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University in broadcast journalism and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in business administration from Midway College. Hembree comes to ISPA with public relations and television reporting experience.

“I am honored to be a part of such a prestigious group of individuals,” said Hembree. “The spa industry is a passion of mine and I am thrilled to now be a part of it.”

Hembree will handle day-to-day media relations for ISPA and collaborate with the staff on the association’s publication Pulse, a magazine written for the spa professional with insight on the latest trends and news in the industry.  The annual ISPA Conference & Expo held at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Fla. from Oct. 15-17, 2012 will also be a key focus.
