The International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP) today added Saipan as a destination member. Saipan’s membership is sponsored by the Pacific Island Club Saipan (PIC), working from the premise that leadership is a major contributor of the tourism industry in the region.

ICTP chairman Juergen Thomas Steinmetz said: “Saipan relies on tourism revenue, and this US territory is uniquely located to attract an increasing number of tourists from East Russia, China, Japan, and Korea. We’re excited to welcome the Pacific Island Club as a new member, and will be taking their material to the Leisure Travel Show in Moscow next month. With ICTP, Saipan will get access to new global secondary and primary tourism markets.”
