IHG signs new Crowne Plaza property in Lyon, France

InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the signing of a Crowne Plaza hotel in Lyon, France: Crowne Plaza Lyon – Cité Internationale.

Due to open in quarter one 2014, the 164-room property will undergo a rapid re-branding from an existing hotel under a franchise agreement with Societe des Cinq Soeurs Pochettino.

The hotel will be located within the ‘Cité Internationale’, one of the most popular business sites in Lyon and home to 15,000m2 on the banks of the Rhȏne River and overlooking the Tête d’Or Park, the hotel will offer stunning views of the park and surrounding area. 

It will also be connected to the major road network and the tram line that links to Part-Dieu Train Station, providing easy access to the city centre, the Paris-Marseille high-speed railway and nearby airports. 

The hotel will offer a full-service restaurant and bar and guests will be able to enjoy a variety of quality menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Additionally, the hotel will of course offer the Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage programme, so that guests can enjoy the benefits of signature bedding, guaranteed wake-up calls, designated quiet zones and aromatherapy.
