IATA 2013: Jones appointed to head of cargo network service
The International Air Transport Association announced the appointment of Warren Jones as head of cargo network service, effective April 24th 2013.
Jones, a US national, was previously the Aviation Development Manager at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and has more than 15 years’ experience in aviation and cargo issues.
He holds degrees in aviation management and aeronautical science from Middle Tennessee State and Embry Riddle Aeronautical Universities.
“I am delighted that Warren has accepted the vital role as Head of CNS,” said Jones.
“During his time at Atlanta International Airport, Warren worked with all segments of the cargo supply chain, from small forwarders to the largest airlines.
“He was instrumental in attracting air cargo business to Atlanta, improving the facilities and capabilities of the airport to handle air freight.
At CNS, Warren will be pursuing a wide-ranging program.
Raising industry competitiveness, accelerating the transformation to e-commerce and the Cargo 2000 quality framework, and enhancing the security and safety of air cargo will all be major priorities.
He will also be developing the value proposition of all CNS and IATA cargo products and services, including training.
