HostelBookers launches mobile website

HostelBookers, the budget accommodation specialist, has launched the HostelBookers.com mobile site, delivering great flexibility and convenience to customers booking hostels and budget accommodation properties on the go.

An infographic published by My Destination shows how mobile technology has changed the way we travel.

It indicates that three in four active travellers use a mobile device while on the move and predicts that by 2014 more people will use mobile internet over desktop.

Google in fact predicts eight per cent of mobile users will be booking travel from their smartphones this year alone.

With the mobile version of HostelBookers customers can read hostel descriptions, look at pictures of the hostel, check availability and prices, and make bookings.

David Smith, chief operating officer at HostelBookers stated: “We’re eager to continue to improve our services for our customers and with the mobile pages in place, we expect a continued increase in mobile usage.

“Our guests can choose to book their stay from their mobile phone – whether they’re sitting at home on the couch or on the go”.

The mobile version of the site is accessible here.
