According to ULookUBook.com, Turkey is fast becoming a top tourist destination; this insider knowledge has been backed up by figures published by the Turkish government.
Online travel expert, ULookUBook.com, say that British tourists are jetting off on all inclusive holidays to Turkey to experience the unique culture and fantastic scenery of the country.
Figures released by the Turkish Statistical Institute last month show that the tourism income for the country increased by 17.8 per cent in the second quarter of this year, compared to the same period last year.
Data from the Office for National Statistics shows that Turkey is currently the eighth most popular holiday destination for people travelling from the United Kingdom, with over 1.8 million people visiting the country in 2010.
Ian Raine of ULookUBook.com comments: “Not only is Turkey seeing a huge increase in the amount of money generated by tourism, they are also seeing a surge in the number of people choosing to holiday in the country. Drawn in by the great holiday deals and the country’s unique atmosphere, tourists can explore the vast history and cultural past of the region. From Istanbul to Marmaris, the country has everything a tourist could want: history, beaches, food and culture.”
