Holiday Inn continues expansion in Argentina
IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), Latin America’s most experienced international hotel company, today announced the opening of the new Holiday Inn Buenos Aires-Ezeiza Airport in Argentina. It is IHG’s tenth property in the country, across four brands – InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn® Hotels and Resorts and Holiday Inn Express®.
The new-build, seven-story hotel, owned and managed by Granados Hermanos SRL, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group, features 114 guestrooms and complements IHG’s existing properties in Buenos Aires, including the InterContinental Buenos Aires, InterContinental Nordelta-Tigre Buenos Aires Hotel Residences & Spa and the Holiday Inn Express Puerto Madero. The hotel is located at Martin Miguel de Guemes 4718 (Autopista Riccheri KM 20), adjacent to one of the country’s major thoroughfares. The Holiday Inn Buenos Aires-Ezeiza Airport is the closest hotel to the Ezeiza International Airport, the nation’s largest airport.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome the Holiday Inn Buenos Aires-Ezeiza Airport to the Holiday Inn family of hotels,” said Alvaro Diago, COO, IHG, Latin America and the Caribbean. “Development in Buenos Aires is important in expanding our Holiday Inn consumer base and strengthening our presence across Argentina. We are committed to advancing IHG multi-brand expansion plans in the country and Latin America as a whole.”
The new hotel includes features in keeping with the $1 billion Holiday Inn relaunch, the largest project of its kind in the history of the hospitality industry. First announced in 2007, the relaunch program creates a more contemporary brand image as part of the drive to increase quality and consistency across the global portfolio. The program focuses on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort and a redesigned logo and signage.
The hotel boasts a contemporary design and decor and is connected to El Mangrullo, an iconic Argentinean restaurant renowned for its local cuisine and its celebrity clientele. The property also features an array of on-site amenities, including five elegantly designed meeting rooms, totaling 4,000 square feet. The hotel offers two restaurants, Don Julio, open for breakfast, and La Bodega, open for lunch and dinner. The Holiday Inn Buenos Aires Ezeiza Airport also includes a business center, a fitness center and a state-of-the-art spa.
