Heritage Le Telfair In Unspoilt Mauritian Haven

Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort has reopened after an expensive renovation. Located in Domaine de Bel Ombre on the unspoiled south coast of Mauritius, the resort is introducing a new spa concept and a focus on the natural beauty of the area.

Aimed at both families and couples, the five star resort is an elegant and refined hotel resembling a picturesque village made up of 20 plantation style villas. A plusher, soft and more feminine décor within the villas reflects Heritage Le Telfair’s understated luxury and relaxed atmosphere. Larger suites and high tech amenities make for a welcome addition for families.

Adjacent to the resort is the Frederica Nature Park, whereby 1300 hectares of lush landscape with its many protected flora and fauna now offers guests a more dynamic range of activities. A selection of nature tours, day and night excursions and kids discovery tours are on offer.

For those looking for a more relaxing experience, Heritage have recently introduced the all new Seven Colours Spa Millesime Collection. Unique to the island, facilities include a large hydrotherapy pool, enhanced treatment and relaxation rooms, tailored spa experiences and signature treatments designed by the Mauritian spa brand for the hotel. Personalised fitness programs, a choice of ‘healthy option’ dishes and drinks and meditative or relaxation sessions also complement the spa offering.

The Golf du Château golf course and clubhouse offer clientele a memorable golfing experience and a unique 18-hole championship course laid out over spectacular stretches along the foothills, and overlooking the Indian Ocean.

With a kids club open throughout the majority of the day, parents are left with ample time to take advantage of the new 175 sq metre heated outdoor pool or enjoy a meal at the revamped Gin’ja pan Asian restaurant on the beach front. Another two dining outlets, Annabella’s open kitchen buffet offering and La Palmier’s bar extending service to the beach and poolside, offers diversity to the guest.

After a lengthy restoration process, the Chateau del Bel Ombre will reopen on 15th September. The Chateau has a unique and enchanting atmosphere inspired by the sugar plantation mansions of the 19th century, and serves guests the finest Mauritian cuisine prepared with local produce.

Launching this December is the adjacent new C Beach Club, which will include chill out zones, a swimming pool, two restaurants, one bar and its own stretch of beach. This will provide an ideal spot for adults, children and teenagers to enjoy the outdoors.
