Travel agents and tour operators will be able to accommodate travellers in even more parts of the world as GTA puts more than 4,000 Hilton Worldwide properties in 90 countries onto its online booking platforms. The dynamic distribution partnership cements GTA’s reputation as the leading wholesaler of accommodation, services, tours and activities for fully independent travel (FIT) across the globe.
Announced as IPW 2014 continues in Chicago this week, properties are now live for retail and wholesale travel businesses to book online through TravelCube, Travel Bound and GTA HTML sites or via XML feed. The enhanced long term deal further extends the variety of accommodation and experiences that GTA sells in over 190 countries. In the last three years alone, deals with 80 chains have added more than 30,000 properties to the inventory that agents and tour operators can sell on.
Martin Jones, GTA’s Senior Vice President for Global Sourcing & Commercial Management, says: “The successful implementation of Hilton Worldwide 4,000 hotels through our connectivity is key to GTA’s longevity and continuing success in selling 12 million room nights throughout the world. Thanks to the strength of our relationship, high street and online travel agents and tour operators can book an even greater choice of accommodation for their clients in rising and already strong destinations.”
GTA’s dynamic inventory approach to such partnerships strengthens its connections with hotel suppliers and those who sell travel. It gives travel sellers and their consumer clients access to a chain’s full portfolio of properties at the best possible rates, including the ‘long tail’ of accommodation in less familiar locations.
