Gogobot joins forces with travel booking sites

Gogobot, a social travel site that connects users with friends via social networks for personalized travel advice, has integrated its service with top travel sites Expedia (EXPE), Kayak, Hotels.com, Orbitz (OWW) and Priceline (PCLN).  Gogobot users can now, with a single click, search for the best rates across five of the largest booking sites on the internet and easily book rooms from more than 130,000 hotels worldwide.

Launched in November 2010, Gogobot leverages the intelligence of the social graph to transform the way people plan and share travel tips. Gogobot helps people discover personally tailored travel recommendations for all aspects of travel planning – from restaurants to accommodations and attractions – by tapping into the collective experiences of their friends through Facebook and Twitter. With this new integration, the Gogobot community has a one-stop-shop for planning, comparing and booking their next getaway.

“People don’t want to waste hours slogging through anonymous reviews to plan a trip.  They want an alternative,” said Travis Katz, Gogobot co-founder and CEO. “Gogobot is putting the fun back in travel planning by putting the advice of friends and family at users’ fingertips. We’re thrilled to team up with some of the biggest names in travel to offer our users a more comprehensive resource for planning trips.”

In just over three months since launching to the public, Gogobot users have shared more than 200,000 places they have been with their connections on Gogobot.  The site also won the prestigious 2010 Crunchie Award for best design.
