GetThere has promoted Guy Snelgar to managing director of its business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He steps up from the role of business development manager and will now oversee GetThere’s sales, service and operations across the EMEA region.
Sneglar brings more than 20 years of online travel and technology experience to his new leadership post, having worked in a number of roles across the sector.
Snelgar’s former employers include British Airways, Hilton Hotels International, Portman Travel and Galileo.
Suzanne Neufang, president of GetThere, said: “Guy has a stellar track record of working with corporations and travel management companies (TMCs) to gain maximum value for their travel spend.
“As GetThere continues to enhance its product and service to fulfill the distinct needs of EMEA travel programmes, Guy’s relationships in the industry will be vital as our existing customers expand and new clients come on board.”
Snelgar said: “In recent years GetThere has made terrific strides growing its business in EMEA.

Snelgar is based at Sabre’s EMEA headquarters office in London reports directly to Neufang.
