Award-winning photographer George Steinmetz’s latest exhibition is set to inaugurate Kashta Gallery at the Boulevard, Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The exhibition has been organized by arabianEye, the exclusive representative of George Steinmetz in the Middle East and the region’s leading visual content provider, together with Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company and member of Dubai Holding.

A series of colour photographs by George Steinmetz, showcasing the photographer’s remarkable journey through the heart of the Arabian Desert, will be on public view at Kashta Gallery from 15th February until 5th March 2010. The series features breath-taking depictions of Rub’ al-Khali, also known as The Empty Quarter, a stunning collection of images shot mostly from above in a motorized paraglider.

“I’m interested in exploring the world and taking pictures of things that few people, if any, have ever seen before,” says Steinmetz, a regular contributor to National Geographic and GEO Magazines. “My goal is to show people that the world is more beautiful, diverse and fascinating than what we know or could ever imagine.”

The opening of the exhibition will take place at Kashta Gallery, Upper Level of the Boulevard, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, at 7.00pm on 15th February with a book signing by Steinmetz. From 16th February until 5th March 2010 the gallery will be open from 11.00am - 7.00pm, Sunday to Thursday, and from 3.00pm - 8.00pm on Fridays.
