GBTA announces Alexander Rahe as new Foundation Regional Development Director

GBTA is pleased to announce Alexander Rahe , managing partner, Solariz Enterprise Group as the new GBTA Foundation’s Latin America Regional Development Director. Mr. Rahe will be based in Miami, FL.

Mr. Rahe will be responsible for planning, managing and advancing the strategic initiatives of the Foundation by creating corporate partnerships for research and education initiatives throughout Latin America.  As the primary Latin American liaison to the GBTA Foundation, Rahe will work closely with GBTA Foundation Executive Director, Daphne Bryant and Foundation Chair, Steve Singh.

“As the GBTA Foundation expands globally, it is vital to have experienced leadership in key areas such as Latin America.  We are excited to appoint Alexander to this important position to help expand upon the great work of the Foundation in the Latin American region.  The Foundation’s education and research are the best ways to bring our knowledge and expertise to our global membership,” said Steve Singh, GBTA Foundation chair and CEO of Concur.

Mr. Rahe is the founder and managing partner of Solariz, a U.S.-based company specializing in representing European companies in North and South America.  Solariz has a strong focus on the travel and IT software industries.  Rahe has over 20 years experience in the travel industry, previously working for companies such as Lufthansa German Airline, Star Alliance, International Monetary Fund and Sixt Rent a Car.  Rahe holds a degree in economics with a specialty in Travel and Tourism from the Suitbertus College in Düsseldorf, Germany.
