Services between London Gatwick Airport and Victoria Station on the Gatwick Express service have reopened following a week of closures over the festive period.

The closure, which begun on December 26th, saw maintenance carried out on the line between Redhill in Surrey and Purley in south London.

Southern, First Capital Connect and First Great Western services to the airport were also disrupted.

A new platform was also built at Gatwick Airport during the closure, with the associated changes to track and signalling.

Platform seven is due to be open from February.
