First Great Western is to install additional ticket vending machines at Bristol Temple Meads as part of our on-going programme of improvement works. The self-service ticket vending machines (TVMs) will help to speed up the process of buying a ticket as well as allow customers to collect pre-booked travel tickets.

This will take the total value of improvement works at Bristol Temple Meads to over £500,000 thanks to the National Station Improvement Programme (NSIP) scheme. Previous work has included the renovation of station toilet facilities as well as works to improve the retail aspect of the station.

The ticket vending machines were installed mid September.

NSIP is a Department for Transport backed programme, supported by Network Rail, to deliver improvements to medium sized stations in England and Wales.
