Food tourism website launches

Foodie tourists can now discover North Wales’ culinary experiences through a new food tourism website, Food North Wales.

As well as showcasing gastronomic attractions, local chefs, restaurants with rooms and food festivals, Food North Wales uncovers small artisan producers and craftspeople – providing a one-stop shop for visitors to plan a foodie break to the region.

The site also reveals a wealth of new food offerings for North Wales. The Clwydian Range hosts the area’s first Food Trail – from smoked fish at the Old Forge Trout Farm to the freshly baked pies at Leonardos Deli, this culinary journey weaves through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Also new to the region is Bodnant Welsh Food, offering the National Beekeeping Centre of Wales, a Cookery School with hands-on sessions such as knife skills and chocolate-making, and the 18th Century Furnace Farm B&B for budding chefs to stay.
