Besides being one of the world`s largest aviation hubs, Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is renowned for being well-connected by rail – with numerous regional and national destinations in Germany, plus international destinations in neighboring countries. At FRA, it couldn’t be easier or more convenient to transfer from a flight to a train, or vice versa. It`s just a few steps away from the passenger terminals to FRA’s Long-distance Train Station, where more than 170 high-speed ICE (InterCityExpress) trains stop each day. In addition, more than 200 local and regional trains serve the Regional Train Station located directly below Terminal 1: whisking passengers to and from the city of Frankfurt as well as to other places throughout the Rhine-Main region.

Fraport, the airport company, provides check-in services for various airlines from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m, while Lufthansa also operates counters from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily for its flights and other carriers.
