Experience Vietnam Far Norths spectacular scenery

7-day tour exploring the landscape of Vietnam as Ba Be lakes, the Rocky Plateau of Ha Giang, discovering the culture, customs and daily life of ethnic groups in the remote moutainous region.

Day 1: Hanoi / Ba Be (240 km)

Tour guide & driver pick you up at the hotel. Transfer to Ba Be (240 km) - Bac Can province. Visit Ethnology museum en route to learn more about the ethnic tribes living in the northern mountainous area. Arrive in Ba Be at noon. After lunch take a boat trip to visit Ba Be (three lakes), one of the most beautiful and valuable natural lakes in the world. Dinner and night at a minihotel or guest house in Ba Be.

Day 2: Ba Be / Meo Vac (235 km)

Leave Ba Be for Meo Vac - the remote area in Ha Giang province. Lunch in Bao Lam. Arrive in Meo Vac late afternoon.

Day 3: Meo Vac / Dong Van / Yen Minh

Breakfast. Transfer over the Ma Pi Leng Pass which is well-known for its magnificent and spectacular scenery. Have some stops for photo taking, walking along the way and visiting some ethnic villages. Arrive in Dong Van in about 2.5 hours, enjoy an hour walking through this stunning valley, explore the market (if the day falls on Sunday) and the ancient street of Dong Van.

After lunch in Dong Van, continue to discover the marvelous scenery of the Rocky Plateau. On Fridays you can also visit Lung Cu ethnic market and the Flag Tower on the top of Lung Cu mountain, the border with China. Then have a visit to the Former H’Mong King’s Palace in Sa Phin village. Dinner and night in Yen Minh.

Day 4: Yen Minh / Quan Ba / Ha Giang / Hoang Su Phi (205 km)

After breakfast drive to Hoang Su Phi via Quan Ba and Ha Giang . Lunch in Ha Giang. Enjoy beautiful landscape on the way. Dinner and night in Hoang Su Phi.

Day 5: Hoang Su Phi / Bac Ha (110 km) Drive more than 100 km today, paying the visit to the minority villages of Tay and Nung tribes on road. Arrive in Bac Ha in the afternoon. Explore the Ban Pho village (flower H’Mong tribe). Dinner and night in Bac Ha.

Day 6 Bac Ha / Sapa (120 km)

Breakfast. If today falls at weekends you will have a chance to visit the market of ethnic group. Saturday mornings: Can Cau ethnic market (about 20 km from Bac Ha town) Sunday mornings: enjoy the famous Bac Ha market. Transfer to Sapa for dinner and night.

Day 7: Sapa soft trek / Lao Cai / Hanoi

Breakfast. Morning visit Ham Rong mountain, viewing beautiful scenery of the town and surrounding area. After lunch the car will take you to Lao Chai village (Black H’Mong tribe), looking down the valley, viewing magnificent landscape of high mountains, deep valleys, waterfalls and terraced rice paddies…

Have a walk around Lao Chai village, learn more about the daily life here, and then have a 2km trek from Lao Chai to Ta Van village (Dzay tribe). Late afternoon leave Sapa for Lao Cai railway station for the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 8: Hanoi Arrive in Hanoi at early morning. End of the tour.
