The gateway to Atlantic Canada, Nova Scotia is set to host The Congrès Mondial Acadien 2024. Taking place in the South West of the province, from 10 – 18 August 2024, the international event will celebrate over 400 years of Acadian culture over nine days of festivities featuring outdoor concerts, culinary experiences, family reunions, music, and heritage.

The Musée des Acadiens des Pubnicos, Le Village Historique Acadien and the Wedgeport Tuna Museum each highlight different aspects of local culture, celebrating the resilience, traditions, and history of the Acadian people.

Explore the night sky at Deep Sky Eye Observatory or join a guided evening hike under some of the darkest and clearest skies in North America on a La Nuit Stella Night Hike. The region is so perfectly suited for viewing the night sky that The Acadian Skies & Mi’kmaq Lands, located within the Yarmouth & Acadian Shores region in southwestern Nova Scotia is the first destination in North America to receive a Starlight certification by the Starlight Foundation, an organization supported by UNESCO.

Choose from a variety of diverse restaurants, craft breweries, and local markets offering everything from traditional Acadian dishes to the tastiest lobster.
