Experience Refined Ramadan Evenings at Al Diwan, Jumeirah Burj Al Arab

Jumeirah Burj Al Arab welcomes guests to embrace the spirit of Ramadan at Al Diwan – a refined open-air setting for Iftar and Suhoor that brings together timeless tradition and modern Arabian hospitality beneath the stars.

In partnership with HRE Development, a purpose-led UAE developer dedicated to creating spaces that foster connection and meaning, Al Diwan unveils an enhanced guest experience for Ramadan 2026. A more expansive layout creates a greater sense of comfort and flow, while newly introduced private majalis offer elegantly secluded spaces – ideal for intimate gatherings with family and friends. Serene yet opulent, the setting is designed to encourage reflection, connection and shared moments throughout the Holy Month.

Crafted under the expert direction of Jumeirah Burj Al Arab’s three Executive Chefs, Solayman Hasan, leads the Arabic and Levantine selection, Saverio Sbaragli oversees the International and Mediterranean offerings, and Tom Coll presents refined pastries and desserts. From elevated classics to innovative creations, each element is designed to delight, with buffet highlights including the specialty house-made soft pistachio ice cream and an à la carte menu featuring Delicacy by Tom Coll: a hot chocolate and milkshake made using locally sourced Rumailah milk, camel milk chocolate, and other premium ingredients.

An elevated Iftar experience

Thoughtfully curated, Al Diwan’s Iftar celebrates the richness of Arabic culinary heritage alongside international flavours, brought to life through an expanded collection of live cooking stations that combine theatre and craftmanship. Guests can savour classics such as lamb ouzi, chicken shawarma, freshly grilled meats and fragrant vegetable biryani, complemented by seafood, sushi, seasonal soups and vibrant mezze. The experience concludes on a sweet note with handcrafted desserts including kunafa, umm ali and date pudding.

Savour the Serenity of Suhoor

As the evening deepens, Suhoor unfolds at a gentler pace, inviting guests to linger over a curated late-night buffet featuring refined savoury dishes, comforting Ramadan favourites and seasonal specialities, alongside live cooking stations serving freshly prepared selections throughout the evening. Soft live oud melodies set the tone nightly, while weekend sand art performances add a layer of visual storytelling. From 10:00PM onwards, shisha is available for guests wishing to extend the evening, creating a serene, atmospheric setting designed for lingering conversations and unhurried moments.

A selection of traditional Ramadan beverages – freshly squeezed juices to laban, jalab and Arabic coffee – is served throughout both Iftar and Suhoor, with Turkish coffee, Moroccan mint tea and an à la carte menu of mocktails and other speciality beverages also available.
