Etihad Crystal Cargo – the cargo division of award-winning Etihad Airways – is preparing to launch a second weekly dedicated freighter operation between Abu Dhabi and Almaty in Kazakhstan.
The additional freighter service will commence January 8th 2012, using an Airbus A330-200F freighter with a payload of 59 metric tonnes.
“The success of our initial freighter service to Almaty which we launched back on July 28th has exceeded our expectations,” said David Kerr, vice president of Etihad Crystal Cargo.
“Our twice weekly freighter operations to Almaty will continue to reinforce Etihad Airways’ position in the Kazakh market, on top of our three weekly passenger services between Abu Dhabi and Almaty.
“We look forward to strengthening the trade ties between the UAE and Kazakhstan through these increased operations.”
