ERA celebrates new airline membership - Adria Airways
The European Regions Airline Association (ERA) is delighted to welcome leading Slovenian airline, Adria Airways, into membership. Adria Airways joins a further 50 European airlines at ERA, taking the total number of airlines in membership to 51.
The opportunity to exchange points of views with industry experts and gain insight into EU regulation and legislation through ERA’s work, are just a few of the reasons why Adria Airways decided to join the association, according to CEO and president of the airline’s management board, Mark Anžur. “Membership of ERA will provide Adria Airways* with advice on issues that affect regional carriers in terms of the environment, infrastructure, safety, security and competition” he adds.
Anžur is also looking forward to the networking opportunities that membership of ERA will bring. He believes that meeting with colleagues from other regional airlines to discuss topics of mutual interest, establish commercial cooperation and exchange industry knowledge and best practices will be of great benefit to Adria Airways.
Director General of ERA, Simon McNamara, says: “The addition of Adria Airways to ERA’s membership is great news. Adria has over 50 years’ experience in the airline industry and ERA’s Directorate and members are looking forward to working with the airline on many issues and to exploring exciting market opportunities.”
*Adria Airways has been established for more than 50 years. The airline’s flight network connects Ljubljana with more than 20 European cities and offers excellent connections from Slovenia to Western and Southeast Europe. Adria Airways became a member of the Star Alliance network, the leading global airline network, in December 2004.
