Enterprise extends partnership with Athlete Network

Enterprise Holdings, the largest car rental company in the world, is renewing its national partnership with Athlete Network (formerly Career Athletes). Through the partnership, Enterprise Holdings will have access to more than 500 university athletic departments and the ability to network with student athletes throughout the country.

“Former student-athletes bring many desirable skills to the table, such as exceptional teamwork and a strong work ethic, which translate quite well to our business,” said Marie Artim, Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Enterprise Holdings. “As our business continues to grow and our hiring needs expand, we look forward to networking with even more student-athletes and providing these college graduates an ideal place to launch their careers.”

Enterprise Holdings owns and operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand as well as the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Management Training and Management Internship programs. More than 5,500 fully staffed neighborhood and airport Enterprise Rent-A-Car offices are located within 15 miles of 90 percent of the U.S. population. Management Trainees receive a hands-on experience that teaches them how to run a business, empower teams and provide excellent face-to-face customer service. Other hallmarks of the program include extensive training in a wide range of business skills, including profit and loss management, business-to-business marketing and sales, and logistics.

Thanks in large part to this thorough preparation, Enterprise Holdings provides employees with a chance to advance their careers at a faster pace than many other entry-level employers. In addition, Enterprise Holdings’ promote-from-within culture is a major driver behind its need to recruit thousands of new employees annually. Last year alone, more than 11,000 individuals were promoted or took on new challenges in various positions throughout the company, contributing to new opportunities for recently hired management trainees and a need to add even more.

“Enterprise provides our Athlete Network members with tremendous opportunities to translate their skills from the field to the business world,” said Chris Smith, CEO of Athlete Network. “Any current or former athlete looking for a solid career foundation should connect with Enterprise.”
