Cheli & Peacock and Elewana have announced that, subject to Competitions Authority of Kenya approval, Cheli & Peacock’s Kenyan safari camp portfolio will be merged with the Elewana Collection in early 2015. 

Stefano Cheli, chief executive of Cheli & Peacock commented: “I am extremely pleased to announce this exciting step for Cheli & Peacock as I believe that by joining the Elewana Collection we will be ensuring a bright and successful future for all.”

“I am also pleased to announce that independent of this newly-merged East African property portfolio Cheli & Peacock Safaris will continue – under my leadership - to provide its extensive range of touring and ground handling services and solutions in both Kenya and Tanzania.”

Elewana chief executive Karim Wissanji also welcomed the deal.
