Cirium’s Global On-Time Performance Report: February 2025

Notably, for the first time in an extended period, a UK airline has made the top 10 most punctual carriers both globally and regionally within Europe.
British Airways ranked fourth in the global table for most punctual airlines, while it ranked sixth within the European ranking. Heathrow Airport also made the top 10 for most on-time large airports, scoring eighth position.
Last month, the UK flag carrier saw 86.89% of its flights arrive on-time – up from 78.10% in January 2025 and 70.12% in December 2024 – showing the airline’s operational improvements.
Global:
Aeromexico led the pack with 92.87% of flights arriving at their destination on time, being named the most punctual airline globally
The second spot was taken by Iberia, securing an 91.25% punctuality score, followed by fellow oneworld member, Qatar Airways with 87.24%
British Airways took fourth spot - the first time in an extended period that a UK airline made the ranking – with 86.89% of flights on-time
Up from 78.10% in January 2025 and 70.12% in December 2024 – showing the airline’s operational improvement
German airline, Lufthansa, came in fifth spot with 86.66% of flights on-time.

Europe:
Iberia was crowned the most on-time airline in Europe last month, with 91.25% of flights arriving on-time
Austrian Airlines followed closely in second position, with 90.65% of all flights arriving on-time
Air Europa, Vueling and SAS, also made the top five, offering customers punctual service on over 87% of flights
British Airways just missed out on the top five, coming in sixth position.

Airports:
Doha was crowned the most on-time large airport globally last month, with 88.98% of flights arriving on-time, followed by Mexico City and Palma de Mallorca
Heathrow also made the top 10 most punctual large airports, securing eighth position.
Cancellations:
Flight cancellations across Europe increased by 12% in February, with 8,261 cancelled flights compared to 7,350 in January.
