California High-Speed Rail announces new Southern California Regional Director

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) announced that it has hired its Southern California Regional Director, which completes the filling of its three regional director positions.

“We are pleased that Michelle Boehm will be joining the High-Speed Rail Authority as its Southern California Regional Director,” said Jeff Morales, CEO of the Authority. “Michelle has a wealth of experience in transportation planning, project development and community outreach. She will work with our regional transit partners to deliver near term improvements while laying the groundwork for high-speed rail in Southern California.”

Michelle Boehm, Southern California Regional Director, has a proven record of managing transportation planning and project development activities in Southern California. She most recently was a Vice President for engineering firm CH2M HILL’s Transportation Business Group where she was responsible for overseeing Business Development and Community Outreach for Southern California.

Prior to that Boehm served at the engineering firm URS and was responsible for small business outreach and strategy development for transportation along with other engineering practices. Boehm is an advisory board member of Mobility 21 a coalition, which pursues solutions to transportation issues in Southern California and is also a board member of both the Los Angeles and Orange County Chapters of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS).
In addition to Boehm, the Authority announced in August the hiring of Diana Gomez as the Central Valley Regional Director and Ben Tripousis as the Northern California Regional Director.
