Galileo International today announced that it has signed an agreement with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts to implement Inside Shopperå®, Galileo`s highest level of connectivity for hotels, providing travel agencies, online travel providers and their customers more reliable and accurate rate and availability information.
Hyatt `s upgraded participation will be effective in September and provides Galileo-connected agents worldwide with real-time access to Hyatt rate and availability information. Through Inside Shopper, the rate and availability information is made available by connecting Hyatt`s Central Reservation System (CRS) directly to Galileo. By interfacing directly through Hyatt`s central reservation system, travel agent requests for availability and rates will be a mirror image of that which resides in Hyatt`s system, resulting in more enhanced efficiency and accuracy of service, and returning the same up-to-the-minute information that would be offered through Hyatt`s internal reservation number.
Inside Shopper is designed to service clients, like Hyatt, by improving their GDS distribution to generate more sales. Travel agencies benefit through improved productivity as booking a Hyatt room will require less time in the “shopping” mode and will have increased time to dedicate to other revenue-generating activities and services.
