, announced Kimptonå‘s successful implementation of Pegasuså’ technology for enhanced online hotel booking capability. 
The announcement was made at the 2003 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC). 

“We really like how much easier it is for customers to search for information, rates and dates,” said Stephen R. Pinetti, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.  “For example, customers can search citywide now, in addition to searching for a specific hotel.  This is a major enhancement that we appreciated right away.”

Pinetti continued, “Additionally, we are pleased with the way the upgrade has integrated with our guest loyalty software—at all the touch points of the reservations process.  Right from the beginning, we can recognize our loyal guests, and their preferences and needs.  Plus, in many cities, we have a cluster of sister hotels.  The alternative availability ensures that we can keep our customers at Kimpton, even if one of our hotels is sold out.  That’s a plus for customers as well as our bottom line. With the implementation, we also set up some tracking systems that allow us to measure and compare clicks and visits to actual bookings.  It gives us more specific data about where our customers are coming from and what they’re looking at when they’re on our various sites.  The upgrade went on without a hitch, and it’s always very easy to work with Pegasus.”
