Travelocity & American International Companies Offer Travel Insurance

As travelers seek assurances during these uncertain times, Travelocity, in strategic alliance with American International Companies, members of American International Group, Inc. has broadened its travel insurance coverage by adding flight protection to the site`s existing vacation coverage program.
With a simple click of a mouse, Travelocity shoppers now will be able to purchase airline and vacation protection plans.


“We wanted to expand the travel insurance coverage we offer our customers when shopping at Travelocity, especially as travel plans become less predictable,” said Michelle Peluso, senior vice president product strategy and distribution for Travelocity. “We definitely think they will appreciate the value of the small investment.”

Coverage and pricing under Travelocity`s programs for airline tickets will range from $12.95 to $29.95 per person, depending on the type of ticket purchased.

 
If a flight has been delayed, canceled or interrupted by the events of war, consumers should defer to the airlines individual cancellation policies all of which are listed on Travelocity`s Information Center.

Vacation Package Protection

Vacation coverage programs range in cost from $29 to $59 per person.
