Marriott Vacation Club International, the vacation ownership division of Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR), announced it will develop a new Vacation Ownership resort adjacent to the Seaview Marriott Resort in Abescon, N.J. Marriott`s Fairway Villas will include 270 two-bedroom luxurious villas each with a panoramic view of the woodlands or one of Seaview`s two historic golf courses. Sales began in July and owner occupancy is scheduled for mid-year 2000.

Marriott Vacation Club is known for its unique resorts in exclusive destinations, stated Stephen P. Weisz, president of Marriott Vacation Club International. We are excited to extend to vacationers and golfers the first opportunity to enjoy a lifetime of luxurious vacation accommodations at one of the premier golf resorts in the Northeast.

Marriott`s Fairway Villas will be built adjacent to the Seaview Resort. Today, the resort complex has been expanded to include a second golf course, an indoor swimming pool and tennis courts. Fairway Villas` owners and guests will have access to Seaview`s championship golf courses, Marriott hotel amenities and a complete world-class spa complex under development at the Villas resort.

To showcase the unique features of this resort during its development, Marriott Vacation Club International will open a state-of-the-art Vacation Gallery on site for vacation ownership sales. The gallery will feature architectural models and other displays that depict the resort design and amenities.
