Hyatt International Corporation is pleased to announce that Grand Hyatt Berlin at Potsdamer Platz has been voted “Friendliest Hotel 2002” in Berlin.

For the second time, the German capital`s marketing company Partner for Berlin has awarded Berlin`s friendliest hotels in four different categories. In the category of “Luxury Hotels”, Grand Hyatt Berlin took the top prize.
A preselection of nominated hotels had been made via a broad guest questionnaire. Afterwards, an expert jury tested the nominated hotels personnally and selected the winners.

“The award is a great confirmation and motivation for our employees,” says general manager Fred H?rst. “We have an obvious and clear positioning within the market due to our modern design concept. However, getting such an award makes us very proud especially because the service image of Berlin still means a big challenge.”

The official handing-over ceremony of the certificate took place March 11, 2002 at “Rotes Rathaus” by Berlins mayor Klaus Wowereit.
