Air New Zealand Selects FlightMinder Technology

Eland Technologies, supplier of software solutions to the travel
industry, has announced the signing of a contract with Air New
Zealand

to provide FlightMinder, the advanced flight and gate
paging application.

Air New Zealand will use FlightMinder to provide their customers
with automatic notification of flight delays and cancellations.
The Air New Zealand service will be called TextExpress and it
will be free of charge to registered Air New Zealand Airpoints
members.

FlightMinder will automatically detect every time they fly with
Air New Zealand and will provide the latest flight information to
their mobile phones.

Air New Zealand`s Chief Operating Officer Andrew Miller said
Eland Technologies` software allows the airline to deliver
TextExpress to market in the timeframe needed. “Express Class is
not just about saving costs, but about introducing greater
efficiencies, faster service and a fresh approach. It`s
value-plus not low-cost.”

Robert Healy, Director of Technolgies at Eland, added: “This “out
of the box” notification solution allows Air New Zealand to
rapidly deploy the functionality they need. It is another example
of the success and cost-effectiveness of Air New Zealand`s
implementation of Eland`s standard middleware platform.”

This contract further solidifies the relationship between Eland
Technologies and Air New Zealand, which has seen the airline
choose Runway, Eland Technologies` advanced travel application
platform, as their strategic middleware architecture.
