Get Away for Free on United

United Airlines and Lufthansa are launching a
special promotion to help business travelers find a little more leisure
time. Beginning February 1, first and business class passengers who
purchase a qualifying roundtrip ticket to Europe on United or Lufthansa
earn a free* economy class ticket to any of the destinations served by
United and Lufthansa.
“By teaming up with Lufthansa, our Star Alliance partner, our customers
can utilize award tickets to more than 300 worldwide destinations,” said
Martin White, senior vice president - Marketing, United Airlines. “This is
a one-for-one offer that showcases the global reach of the combined United
and Lufthansa network.”

This special offer is combinable with other United and Lufthansa
promotions. An unlimited number of award tickets can be earned, award
tickets are valid for travel between September 1, 2004 and April 1, 2005
and transferable to friends and family members.

“With this promotion, business travelers have the opportunity to travel
the world a little more `freely` via Lufthansa and United`s combined
global network,” said Thomas Winkelmann, Vice President, The Americas, for
Lufthansa. “This is yet another example of the strength of Star Alliance,
and the many benefits it brings to our frequent travelers,” Winkelmann
added.
To qualify to earn an award ticket, eligible travel to Europe must be
completed by April 15, 2004. Participants must be a member of United`s
Mileage Plus(R) frequent flyer program or Miles & More(R), the frequent
flyer program of Lufthansa, and must register for this promotion. Other
