New Mexico Service from American

American Airlines will begin nonstop daily service to two popular Mexico destinations after the first of the year. Starting Jan. 31, 2004, American will fly from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Cozumel and Ixtapa, serving Cozumel with 142-seat Boeing 737-800s and Ixtapa with
129-seat Boeing Super 80s, both featuring American`s More Room Throughout Coach.

American currently serves Acapulco, Cancun, Leon, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta and San Jose del Cabo from DFW. American Eagle, American`s regional affiliate serves Aguascalientes. Additionally, American serves some of these Mexican destinations from Chicago, St. Louis and Miami as well as from New York JFK and Boston.

“With the addition of these two new destinations, our customers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area can now fly on American to 103 nonstop destinations worldwide,” said Tim Ahern, American`s vice president of the DFW hub. “The appeal of Mexican resorts continues to grow. As a result, we are adding
Cozumel and Ixtapa to our vast route system.”
