Air Canada Inaugurates Daily Non-Stop Flights

Air Canada tomorrow inaugurates daily non-
stop service between Toronto and Delhi when flight AC051 leaves Toronto`s
Pearson International Airport at 1715 en route to the Indian capital in time
for the Diwali festival of lights. To promote the new service, Air Canada is
offering 5,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles when travelling on the route until
November 30, 2003 - enough for a short-haul reward ticket within North America
when added to Miles normally accumulated. Special online fares are available
at aircanada.com .
“Our new daily non-stop service to Delhi offers customers the only direct
air link between North America and India saving at least three hours off
alternate routings and providing excellent connection possibilities for
flights to cities throughout Canada and the United States,” said Montie
Brewer, Executive Vice President, Commercial. “Business travellers will
appreciate the convenience of our extensive North American network schedule as
well as added comfort of Executive First service. Response has been very
positive, confirming the importance of this under-served market.”
Flights on Air Canada`s new Delhi route are operated using state-of-the-
art 282-seat Airbus A340 aircraft offering a choice of Executive First and
Hospitality service. Flight attendants speaking Hindi and Punjabi are
available to serve customers in their choice of language. Customers are
offered a choice of western and Indian meals, and the continuous in-flight
entertainment program includes a number of Indian “Bollywood” recent releases.
Air Canada`s premium Executive First service provides first class comfort and
dining at business class fares.
Air Canada has timed its Delhi service to offer excellent connections
throughout North America via Air Canada`s main hub in Toronto to and from all
major cities across Canada and United States. An early evening arrival in
Delhi offers travellers a number of options for connections to cities within
India and Sri Lanka.
