ATA Connection Surpasses Record

INDIANAPOLIS—(BUSINESS WIRE)—July 22, 2003—ATA Connection (operated by Chicago Express Airlines, Inc.), a wholly owned subsidiary of ATA Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq:ATAH), reached a new operational standard, setting a monthly record for enplaned passengers. The regional airline reported today that it carried more than 100,000 passengers during the month of June, surpassing its previous record set in October 2002 (90,000 enplaned passengers).

The 100,000th passenger for ATA Connection enplaned at Dayton International Airport on June 29, 2003.
Earlier this year, ATA Connection received The “Diamond Award,” a bestowal signifying excellence in aircraft maintenance. A recipient four years in a row, ATA Connection was honored for the level of advanced training provided to aircraft maintenance professionals beyond the compulsory Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) training requirements.
