America West Extends First-Class Sale

PHOENIX, Feb.  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA), the nation`s second largest low-fare carrier, today announced it is extending its first-class fare sale through Friday, Feb. 21, 2003. The sale features first-class fares that are up to 75 percent lower than the airline`s regularly priced first-class fares.

“With this sale, customers can fly first class on America West for less than last minute coach fares on other airlines and they`re loving it!” said Scott Bowers, vice president, revenue management. “We`re thrilled to be providing this opportunity for so many customers. We encourage travelers who fly other low-fare carriers that don`t have first class seating to give America West a try.”

America West Vacations is also taking advantage of these great rates by offering first class vacation packages to Arizona, California and Nevada.

Tickets must be purchased by Feb. 21, 2003, with travel completed by Aug. 28, 2003. America West`s standard 50 percent FlightFund mileage bonus for first-class ticket purchases applies on these special fares. Customers who purchase at www.americawest.com will receive an additional 500 bonus miles.
