Cathay Pacific Wins Top Service Award


Cathay Pacific Airways, for the fifth straight year, has won the Top Service Award in the airline category in a survey conducted by Next Magazine. The Top Service Award reflects Cathay Pacific`s continuous commitment to excellence as well as passengersåÁå? recognition of the airline`s unique brand of Service Straight From the Heart.

The Top Service Awards recognise outstanding service providers in Hong Kong. They are voted by the public through Hong Kong-based Next Magazine, Apple Daily newspaper and Next Media Website.

The award ceremony was held today at the New World Renaissance Hotel in Hong Kong.

Cathay Pacific General Manager Inflight Services Quince Chong said: “We are extremely pleased to win this award again. I think it shows that, even during tough economic times, our dedication to delivering passengers the very best service has not diminished.”
Ms Chong added that credit for the award must go to the airline`s staff. “It is our staff who set Cathay Pacific apart from our competitors and I`d like to send my thanks to each and every one of them for their continued efforts in providing great service,” she said.

Cathay Pacific has won a succession of awards this year including “Airline of the Year” and “Best North-East Asian Airline” in the TTG Travel Awards 2002. The airline was also named Á¤Best Airline Trans-PacificÁ¬ and ranked as AsiaÁ?s number-one airline in a poll of more than four million travellers by UK-based consulting firm Skytrax.
