Frontier Airlines Announces New Management Appointment

Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today named Joan Osterman to the position of director, properties and facilities. In her new position, which was effective June 23, Osterman will be responsible for the airline`s airport space and facilities requirements, including contract negotiations and providing recommendations for long term capital projects. Osterman will continue to report to Frontier`s General Counsel and Vice President of Administration Art Voss.

Osterman, 52, currently serves as the airline`s manager of properties and facilities and has nearly 15 years of industry experience. Prior to her service with Frontier, Osterman held various positions with Continental Airlines, including senior analyst, properties and facilities.


“Joan`s expertise has proven invaluable throughout our fiscal year 1999, when we initiated several projects that required extensive contract negotiations for additional leased space and unique facility requirements,” said Voss. “These projects included bringing our ground services at DIA and our “C” check level maintenance in-house, which together increased our leased space at DIA by nearly 30,000 square feet. In addition, both of these projects involved planning and ‘build out` for unique work group needs, such as load planning, communications and ramp services.”


Osterman holds a bachelor`s degree from Texas A&M University in recreation and parks. In addition, she holds a real estate sales license and a certificate in Airport Law and Lease Negotiations. She currently resides in Boulder with her husband Lewis.Denver-based Frontier Airlines commenced operations on July 5, 1994. Unlike other airlines, Frontier`s low fares do not have a Saturday night stay requirement. In addition, Frontier offers frequent flier miles in Continental Airlines` OnePass® program. The airline currently serves 20 cities coast to coast with a fleet of 19 Boeing 737 jets and employs approximately 1,700 travel professionals. Frontier was recently named “Best Domestic Low-Fare Air Carrier” by Entrepreneur magazine in the publication`s sixth annual Business Travel Awards.
