Stelios has won the prestigious International Travel Writers Federation Gold Star award for his contribution to the development of European air travel. The award was presented at the ITB Travel Show held in Berlin earlier this week.

Each year the Federation presents two awards - one to an individual, and the second to a new, travel related, attraction. Previous recipients include the Globe Theatre in London, the city of Lisbon and the Mayor of Naples. Stelios has been awarded the individual prize for the contribution that easyJet has made to air travel within Europe, and the fact that through its innovative approach, many more people have been given the opportunity to travel.
