Completion of a 747-400 cabin interior. Another acknowledgement of LHT`s market leadership
A Mideast head of state and long-time customer of Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) has signed a contract for retrofitting a Boeing 747-400 with a VIP cabin interior, including state-of-the-art entertainment and communication systems. The work will begin next month at LHT`s VIP cabin-interior center in Hamburg.
“This order is one more acknowledgement of LHT`s special competence and capabilities in the areas of interior design, production, installation and certification of business jets up to and including those operated by heads of state”, said Jürgen Wilken, LHT Senior Vice President Marketing and Sales. “A prime consideration that influenced our customer`s decision is the high quality of LHT`s products and workmanship and its outstanding record of meeting deadlines”.
Lufthansa Technik will deliver the modified aircraft in early 2002. The customer is also negotiating with LHT a multi-year contract for its complete technical servicing of the aircraft under its Total Technical Support (TTS) program. LHT has been servicing this customer`s VIP jets for the past 20 years.
