Cathay Pacific`s Newest Aircraft Makes First Passenger Flight

Cathay Pacific Airways` newest aircraft today made its maiden passenger flight. The A330-300 aircraft was delivered to Hong Kong from the Airbus Industrie factory in Toulouse, France on Saturday. A colour photograph showing ground crew waving it off at Hong Kong International Airport, en route for Manila this morning is now available for media to download direct from the Cathay Pacific Website.

The new A330-300 features Cathay Pacific`s new Business Class product with what is believed to be the longest and widest stretch-flat seat in the sky, an exclusive bar and reception area for passengers to meet and mingle inflight, AVOD (audio and video on demand) inflight entertainment, and the facility for inflight email and Intranet.

The new Business Class will be progressively introduced on long-haul aircraft over the coming months. Another three brand-new A330s are due for delivery from Airbus Industrie later this year. The new Business Class cabin will also be progressively installed in all the airline`s Boeing B747-400s and Airbus A340-300s.
