Travel Veteran Joins Opodo as Chairman

Travel portal Opodo, which is backed by nine European airlines, has appointed industry veteran David Coltman as its new chairman.
Coltman was chief marketing officer and executive officer of the UAL Corporation, which owns United Airlines, from 1995 to 2001. He joined UAL after British Caledonian, where he was chief executive, had been acquired by British Airways. He spent 14 years at BA, rising to general manager of market development.

Currently, Coltman is a director of John Menzies, The Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust, The Trinity House Lighthouse Board and several private companies.
