ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., June 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—Southwest Airlines
(NYSE: LUV) recently announced Bill Showalter as the new station manager for
its operations at Albuquerque International Airport. In his new position,
Showalter will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of all flight
activities in Albuquerque.

Like many other Southwest Employees, Showalter has successfully climbed
the professional ladder at Southwest Airlines. He joined the Southwest family
in 1992 as a provisioning agent in Albuquerque. Since that time, he has
worked in Albuquerque as a ramp agent and provisioning supervisor. He also
has served as provisioning manager in Seattle and El Paso, and station manager
in Columbus. His most recent position was station manager in Norfolk.
In addition to his ten years of service, Showalter is a graduate of
Southwest`s management training program, a course designed to help prepare
individuals for Southwest management roles.
