World`s First i-mode Hotel Portal Launched

Sino.net, a wholly-owned subsidiary of e4asia Inc., has launched a new travel portal for i-mode, WAP and PDA users at sino.net.

Sino.net`s portal is the world`s first travel portal for online hotel bookings via i-mode, a technology supported by NTT DoCoMo, Japan`s largest wireless web service provider, and which is becoming increasingly popular in Asian countries. The portal also supports WAP (Europe) and HDML (USA) mobile users. For life voice support, Sino.net`s has established a multilingual Call Center with capabilities in English, Japanese, German, French, Chinese and Korean based in Saigon, Vietnam.

SinoNet`s travel portal will connect the mobile web user “on the fly” to more than 2500 partner hotels throughout the world. It will enable users to access user account details as well as search and check availability before making an online booking directly from their Internet enabled mobile phone or PDA.

As an early player in Internet development, sino.net first delivered its directory and search facility for travelers in 1994. This new functionality will expand sino.net`s m-commerce strategy with a new comprehensive, high value-added service and constitutes a significant milestone achievement in catapulting sino.net to the forefront of m-commerce travel innovation.

“Since 1994, progress within the industry and at sino.net has been remarkable, and major players are now looking for high quality content providers of electronic and mobile solutions” said Wolfgang Holzem, the Chief Operating Officer and Founder of sino.net.
