US Airways to Begin Daily Service to Turks and Caicos from March 9, 2003

US Airways will begin daily services from Charlotte to Providenciales from Sunday March 9, an increase of 3 flights a week to the Turks and Caicos Islands. Air Canada will also be running a weekly direct service through the summer it has been announced.
The service between US Airways` Charlotte hub and Providenciales launched on November 2 with four flights weekly using new Airbus A319 aircraft. In December US Airways officials announced the service would be daily in March 2003. Tourism Board officials who have been working hard with the airline to promote the route, are delighted that the flights are increasing.

Director of Tourism comments: “This is wonderful news and shows how the new services are succeeding for airlines. The profile of the Turks and Caicos Islands is rising and the new US Airways daily service and the continued Air Canada service will make the Turks and Caicos Islands even more accessible to vacationers.”
