Bermuda Dept Of Tourism Adds Plansoft To Website For Group Travel Planning Ease

The Bermuda Department of Tourism has expanded and improved its award-winning website with the addition of PlanSoft software. Meeting planners can now plan group travel more efficiently with a virtual site inspection and an online Request for Proposal (RFP).
“Because Bermuda is less than two hours from most east coast cities, it is growing as an attractive travel option for groups seeking a nearby, yet exotic destination,” says Judith Hall-Bean, Director of Tourism. “The addition of PlanSoft meets the needs of meeting planners by providing them with a quicker and more efficient means of booking group travel.”
The online RFP takes the user step-by-step through the process of building a complete meeting request, a feature that may be advantageous to the less-experienced meeting planner. Profile information, as well as each RFP submitted, is automatically saved and can be copied and modified for future meetings, which reduces data entry errors and saves time. The online RFP is fully integrated into a Hotel & Facility Search Directory allowing planners to search and compare facilities with ease using location, capacity, and special criteria fields to identify properties selected. Planners can also review and track the RFP process online.
Another enhancement to the site is the Virtual Site Inspection. This feature allows the user to tour a property through color images and 360 degree panoramic photography detailing guestrooms, meeting facilities, restaurants, themed events, exteriors, recreation, and area maps. In addition, planners will find information on offsite venues, destination management companies, Island services, and other useful links and contact information.
