Donald E. Walton, CHAE, CHTP, was installed as immediate past president of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) during the President`s Evening dinner and dance at the association`s 2001 Annual Convention & Tradeshow in Phoenix, Ariz.
Walton is director of finance for Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa in Asheville, N.C.

A member of HFTP for 20 years, Walton recently completed his term as 2000-2001 HFTP President. He has served on the HFTP Membership, CHAE, Communications and Resort committees, and as chairman of the MIS Member Development Committee. He was also the 2000 HITEC® Advisory Council chairman. Walton is a contributing author to HFTP`s The Bottomline and has been a speaker at numerous HFTP conferences and events. On the local level, Walton hosted the first territory meeting in the Carolinas region to establish an HFTP chapter in the area.
